In many areas of the country and the world there are inadequate resources allocated for poor communities and people of color. The resources included on this list work to educate, empower, and uplift these underserved communities and individuals.

While Black Lives Matter is one of the most well-known and visible organizations at the forefront of the fight for justice and equality, there are many others. Obviously this list is not exhaustive, but is meant to highlight some of those those working hard to eliminate racial inequity and disparities.

Education Resources

National Action Council For Minorities in Engineering
The National Action Council For Minorities in Engineering is committed to helping minority men and women achieve success in STEM education and careers.

National Association of Black Accountants (NABA)
NABA is a network that offers career resources, scholarships, and career connections for Black accountants and students entering the field.

National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)
NSBE is a student-governed organization dedicated to increasing the number of successful and culturally responsible Black engineers.

National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice (NABCJ)
NABCJ is a non-profit association that works to provide leaders who are dedicated to improving the administration of criminal justice.

National Black Graduate Student Association (NBGSA)
NBGSA is the largest interdisciplinary graduate organization for Black students in the United States. The organization has been advocating for black graduate students since it was founded in 1989.

National Black Student Union (NBSU)
NBSU was founded in 1998 and hosts the National Black Student Union Conference. NBSU also sponsors forums at local, state, and national levels on issues of importance to African-American students.

Harlem Academy
The Harlem Academy was established in 2004 and promotes equity of opportunity for promising students.

Florence Crittenton Services of Colorado
Florence Crittenton Services of Colorado is dedicated to educating, preparing, and empowering teen mothers and their children so that they may become productive community members.

Leadership Conference Education Fund
